With so much "stuff" on the roof perhaps the steerer can not see to avoid hitting things ?!!
Good point, Alf.
Hi Halfie, I;ve missed a lot, sadly. I can't keep up at the moment as I'm so busy with work...heaps of papers and exams to mark, but I will be back!. This looks like my kind of boat ;-) Not being a very expert steerer I think I should have the same kind of protection..haha.

A techie question:
I have had a look at a couple your photos and see that you resize them to about 900 on the longest side. Do you use that as a standard?
I have not been altering the size which means very slow uploabs and fast consumption of blog capacity.
I well be resizing down now but I want to pick an appropriate size.

VallyP, I thought you hadn't been around lately. I hope you get through all your work OK.
Andy, yes, I resize most photos in the way you say. It's just to keep a control on the upload allowance. (I'm up to 20%.) I don't like to make them any smaller than that, or you can't see the detail when you click on them. The originals are mostly 4000 x 3000 pixels, whicht would soon eat up my allowance if I didn't resize!
